Vintage Silk Ro Kimono 5 Kamon

Vintage black kimono from the Showa period (1926-1989), original Japanese, hand-stitched in pure Ro silk, a light, semi-transparent, loosely woven silk. A play of transparencies that makes this kimono elegant and sensual.

It features 5 Kamon, giving the garment the highest level of formality, depicting the Kiri: extremely popular among the aristocracy. As an imperial emblem, it is second only to the chrysanthemum, to which it is often paired to symbolize the Japanese throne.

A unique, very versatile and refined piece, suitable for spring and summer. A vintage garment in excellent condition.
